A blind man stayed with his friend for a few days. One night, he was getting ready to travel home. His friend offered him a lit lantern. The blind man did not think he needed it, saying, "Why do I need a lantern? Everything is the same for me. For someone who's blind, what purpose does a lantern serve?" "My dear friend," his friend replied, "this is not for you but for others. With this lantern in hand, the person who comes before you will not bump into you." "Okay, I'll take it," said the blind man.
The blind man started walking in the dark, lantern in hand. Still, someone collided with him. The blind man lost his balance and fell. Angrily, he asked, "Why did you bump into me?! I had a lantern with me. Can't you watch where you're going?!" "What lantern? I'm blind. I don't see anything," said the other man.

Your eyes are the lamp for your body. When your eyes are good, you have all the light you need. But when your eyes are bad, everything is dark. So be sure your light isn't darkness. If you have light, and nothing is dark, then light will be everywhere, as when a lamp shines brightly on you.
